ST. FRANCIS PARISH ENGAGEMENT SURVEY This past fall parishioners completed a survey regarding parish life at St. Francis. Results, which include colored graphs, can be found on the table in the gathering space. Thank you.

COMING SOON! Activity bags will be available for small children attending Mass. The smallest bags for the younger children contain “Colors of Faith Bears” that become the property of the children. They should continue to utilize these bags and bears when they come to Mass. The larger bags contain books that explain different aspects of the Catholic Faith. These bags and books should be returned as children leave church. Each bag has a different book, so children can expect to get a different book each time they come to Mass. All bags can be found in the cry room next to the elevator.

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS Preschool registration is now open. Cathedral Preschool offers a 3 and 4 year old program. Please contact Amanda Schnell at 715-392-3900 for registration and information. There are currently openings for preschool part time aides and substitute teachers. Please remember to save all General Mills boxtops, Milk Moola (will end on March 22nd) plastic covers from milk jugs of all sizes. orange juice, juice drinks, ice cream and tops of plastic milk bags. We also collect Coke Rewards, aluminum cans and Loaves for Learning. There is a container in the gathering space of our church for your donations.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT dePAUL Our society was contacted by 354 households during the months of October through December. We distributed $23,000 in financial assistance, the majority for housing assistance. We provided an estimated $5,700 in clothing, $2,500 in household goods and $3,300 in food. God Bless You for your generosity! Our next meeting is on Tuesday, February 12th at 6 PM at the Catholic Charities Building, 2416 Cumming Avenue. Join us!

MARCH FOR LIFE PRESENTATION in January many of our area youth were on pilgrimage to support “March for Life.” On Sunday, February 17th beginning at noon in Cathedral’s Kress Hall

you are invited to attend a gathering to learn about their experience. Treats and refreshments will be served All are welcome!

TANZANIA MISSION TRIP The Kisa Mission Group is planning a trip to Tanzania in late July/early August with one of the goals of bringing supplies to the schools there. This is an opportunity for anyone interested in learning of the culture of our brothers and sisters in Tanzania. For more information contact Deacon Bob at 715-919-0042.

KISA LASAGNA DINNER is planned for Saturday, March 2nd from 4:30-7:00 PM at Holy Assumption Church, 5601 Tower Avenue. There will be a variety of lasagna, salad, dessert and a beverage. All profits benefit our sister parish in Tanzania, East Africa. A free will offering will be accepted.

IN VINO VERITAS Friday, March 1st, 5:30-8:00 PM in Cathedral’s Kress Hall. Enjoy wine, beer and food samples from area restaurants while you try your luck at our games. Win fun prizes and purchase raffle tickets for our Purse Auction! A lucky purse will contain an Amazon Echo Dot. Tickets are $30 per person or a table of 6 for $150. Each table of six will receive a surprise gift. Tickets can be purchased at the Cathedral School office or online at the following:

ST. MICHAEL’S ANNUAL ALL YOU CAN EAT BEEF DINNER this Sunday, February 10th from 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM. Menu includes beef, mashed potatoes/gravy, vegetable, rutabaga, rolls, dessert and beverage. Cost is $13 for adults, Kids $7 and 4 & under are free. The church is handicapped accessible and do offer take-out dinners. The church is located at 4901 E. Superior Street in Duluth. All are welcome!!

Weekly Church is God’s gift. Assembly required.
